Some Magical Words From A Stranger That Changed My Life Completely !

A 21 year old boy, sitting on the top of a hill, was thinking to commit suicide as just some hours ago his girlfriend broke up with him.

The boy had been suffering from the worst phase of his life for the past four months.

A lot of things were running in his mind - the condition of his sick mother, memories of his father who passed away four months ago and then this break-up.

He was completely heartbroken.

Thinking about these all when he was about to make a jump from the hill, he heard a strange voice saying,"You won't die if you jump from here."

The boy stops, takes his leg behind and turns back.

He sees a middle age, bearded man, having a pure smile on his face.

The boy asks the stranger,"Who are you and what the hell are you saying?"

"I'm hear to tell you the right place to commit suicide as there is a pool under the hill, you might not die if you jump from this place.

Come with me and I'll show you the perfect place to do it where you can die happily", replies the stranger.

The boys sees the pool, thinks for a moment and then agrees to go with him.

The stranger takes the boy to the biggest temple of the town where evening Aarti was going on.

The boy is amazed and asks him"Why have you brought me here."

"I've brought you here to show you something", answers the stranger.

 The boy says with anger,"Look, don't try to manipulate me. I'm not gonna change my mind. You don't know anything about my problems and situation."

The stranger points his finger out at a girl who has no arms and asks the boy," What makes you commit suicide?  I don't know the exact reason but I guess, the reason would not be as much painful and miserable as this orphan, handicapped girl has.

This girl who has no family and arms chose to work and live a satisfied life. The girl draws beautiful paintings with the help of her legs and sells it into the nearby market."

The boy tells the strangers his story and situation.

After hearing the story the stranger replies,"The girl who left you, might not be made to be a part of your life. Your mother is still alive and needs you to be around her. Think about these all things. You can't end your life in this way. There are many things to do. You have energy and power to do many things. You have a life before to be lived in a prosperous way.

All I'm trying to say is you have given up on life which we should never do. We get ready to commit suicide when we get failed or when we accept that we are useless. The girl seems useless but she isn't.

If she had given up on life like you, she would have committed suicide years ago.
In the same way you think you are useless but you aren't. 

The boy feels very great after talking to the stranger. He embraces the stranger and says,"Thank you, uncle. You have showed me the right path and given me so much encouragement to do something in my life."

The boy leaves the place and comes back to his home. He starts doing part time jobs to  support his mother and to continue his studies. He gives private tuitions, works in different kinds of shop, and spends his night out of home working. After 5 years of hardship and struggles, he becomes a doctor. Later, he opens a hermitage for the handicapped and lives his life happily. 

Moral of the story - 

"In order to succeed we must believe that we can." And sometimes, we need people to believe in us and to support us. For the boy, it was the stranger who believed in him and made the boy believed in himself. 

Let's try to be that sort of stranger who believes in others, supports them and encourages them.
